Christian Perspective of Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution was a tool that God used to bring this world closer to its final judgement at coming of Jesus Christ. God used it to cause the world to grow in sin. We know that as the end approaches, the world will only get worse. One way that helps man grow in sin is the invention of new things that make life easier. As new things are invented, man begins to put his trust in those inventions and loses a trust in a God. As new advancements in medicine are continually being developed, man believes that he has the potential to solve any problem. The Industrial Revolution also gives evidence of struggles between the social classes, which is another sign of Christ's coming. The working class was always being oppressed by the factory owners who refused to provide them with a just wage, because they believed people would not work as hard if they had extra money. The Industrial Revolution serves to bring the world closer to its final judgement.
